(Watercress Field)
Current Status: New planning attempt - November 2020
Watercress Field lies to the north of the sports field and Rother View in Burwash. It has a steep slope and springs, and it is said the soils move. The land has been undisturbed for centuries and the field is a haven for wildlife.
The High Weald AONB Unit has assessed the field of comprising of three medieval (AD1066 - AD1499) fields with historic field boundaries. You can read the High Weald AONB report here.
