Full planning application made to Rother District Council
In early October 2020, Nick Collins Green of Artemis Design and Build, applied for planning permission to develop the Ashwood site. Near the Burwash Common Pavilion there would be two detached homes, to be built and occupied by Nick Collins Green and his co-developer. South of this, grouped round the parking area, are planned:

one detached house,

a pair of semi-detached houses,
-
a block of four flats and
-
a terrace of three houses.

Save our Fields held their consultation exercise, when the last set of plans were revealed and would welcome views on the application.

The consultation process
Artemis Design and Build, the developer, published their amended plans on a large board at the premises.
The plans for the site show 14 homes and 29 parking bays. There are:

two four-bedroom detached houses (known as self builds),
-
four two-bedroom flat on two floors,
-
six semi- detached three-bedroom three story houses and
-
two two-bedroom semi-detached houses.
Burwash: Save our Fields held two Zoom meetings with the developer, Nick Collins Green. One of the Zoom meetings was also with the two architects and the planning consultant involved.
Following the Zoom meetings, the developer decided to redesign the development.

PIP Planning Permission applied for
On 20 February 2020, Nick Collins Green of Artemis Design and Build, applied to Rother District Council for change of use for the Ashwood Nursing Home site in Burwash Common. The change of use was from commercial to residential. The application was withdrawn.
